PA for young man to travel home from Team Domenica (work experience) Mon-Thurs at 3pm ish
Our son finishes his afternoon normally at 3-3.15pm at Team Domenica (Preston Circus - Google it!). Ideally we are looking for a friendly, caring PA person who enjoys walking to get up the hill to beyond Seven Dials with him. Total distance about a mile but it involves crossing roads safely and encouraging him to make the decisions about how to cross the road safely. He does this regularly with a PA but the PA is moving on to another project.
A bit of experience with young adults with learning disabilities and people on the autistic spectrum useful, but a friendly, engaging manner with sense of humour and maybe even a passion for Radio 2/music helpful! However a key requirement is being available at around 3pm for a minimum of an hour. The Thursday afternoon is optional and would be slightly different. Sadly no bus route is useful but if you have a car and the appropriate insurance that could be handy occasionally.
If you were interested in a morning walk to Team Domenica at 9am that is also a possibility. The job is term time only but our son does help in the cafe during holidays too sometimes, so there may be options. The ideal candidate might live on a line halfway between Brighton and Hove train stations which is where we live, simply as there is a fair bit of walking involved. Helping him make a cup of tea when he gets home, (and one for yourself) can feature.
