2 roles – practical support role and admin support role

PERSONAL ASSISTANT / CARER – BRIGHTON
(DUAL ROLE OR SPLIT ROLE – LONG TERM)

We are recruiting for one or two Personal Assistants to support a vulnerable disabled adult with multiple physical conditions and some mental health support needs.

This role can be structured as either:

- One combined role, or
- Two separate roles (care/personal support and administrative support)

Total hours available: Approximately 20 hours per week

- Care support: 10–12 hours
- Administrative support: 8–10 hours

Rate: £15 per hour
Start: ASAP
This is a long-term position

ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a structured, ongoing role supporting both daily living and complex administrative tasks. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, organised, self-motivated, and able to work professionally within an established routine.

CARE AND DAILY SUPPORT DUTIES

- General cleaning, tidying, and maintaining a clean living environment
- Food preparation (simple meals, snacks, routine support)
- Medication preparation (non-clinical, organised into daily containers)
- Support with basic personal care (e.g. shaving, general assistance)
- Assistance with appointments, shopping, and day-to-day tasks
- Light pet assistance (feeding, occasional walking, assistance dog support)

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT DUTIES

- Confident use of computers and digital systems (essential)
- Managing emails, correspondence, and document organisation
- Supporting complaint handling and communication with organisations
- Assisting with forms, referrals, and ongoing casework
- Printing, scanning, and maintaining both digital and paper records
- Opening post, organising paperwork, and taking structured notes

WORKING STRUCTURE

- Shifts typically in blocks of 2–4 hours
- Minimum shift: 2 hours
- Hours will be arranged flexibly across the week
- You will be working alongside an experienced long-term PA as part of a small team

REQUIREMENTS

- Some relevant experience preferred or a strong willingness to learn
- Professional, organised, and able to follow structured processes
- Able to take initiative and work without constant supervision
- Comfortable working in a home environment with pets
- Good communication skills and reliability are essential
