Fun-Loving PA(s) Wanted: Music, acting, and a bit of Elvis (Uh-huh!). Location: Central Hove (Home-based)

About the Role
We are looking for one or two fun loving, energetic and patient Personal Assistants for our 20-year-old son, who has Down Syndrome and Autism. He is currently a student at St John’s College.
The role is primarily based at our family home in Central Hove. As a relationship develops, the role may evolve to include:
College Transitions: Meeting and accompanying him in the council-arranged taxi service that brings him home from college.
Visits to local parks and the seafront to play basketball; local bus rides.
About Him
He is active, fun-loving, and a total "performer" who presents as much younger than his age. He loves music (everything from Elvis, “Uh-huh!” to the Chemical Brothers!), learning to play the drums, singing, and role-playing. He has a great sense of humour and loves making people laugh. He responds best to female company.
Whilst he is a joyful character and well known in his local community, he can be challenging at times. We are looking for someone who can offer:
Experience: Previous experience with Learning Disabilities/Autism is highly desirable.
De-escalation: A calm and understanding approach is essential for managing frustrations.
Longevity: Our previous PAs stayed for 8 years and 3 years. We are looking for people who want to build a stable and reliable relationship.
Requirements
Patient, flexible, personable, and fun-loving.
Comfortable with minimal personal care (desirable but not essential).

Hourly rate – £13 p/h weekdays and £14 p/h weekends
