Caring, compassionate and reliable PA needed for 4 hours a week

A PA is required to support a young woman to develop her independence and planning skills.

The PA must be experienced in working with people on the Autistic Spectrum with a mild learning disability. Prompt time keeping and advance planning for support sessions are essential. The PA must be able to use their initiative, suggest activities and think on their feet.

Support is required to go shopping, attend medical appointments, hairdressers and social activities. At home, support is required to cook simple meals, read letters, provide guidance on money management and to give prompts for jobs around the house.

The young woman expresses herself through art and enjoys watching films. She can be good at communicating, although sometimes gets overwhelmed in certain situations. At these times, she would like help from the PA to calm down and think about potential triggers when things get on top of her.
