PA Noticeboard Advert – Dual Role Structure

PERSONAL ASSISTANT ROLE(S) – BRIGHTON (Racecourse Area)
Rate: £15 per hour
Current Hours: 10 per week (with potential increase to 20+ hours pending Adult Social Care confirmation)
Start: ASAP
Long-term position for the right candidate(s)

We are potentially recruiting for two separate Personal Assistant roles. Applicants may apply for Role 1, Role 2, or both. Please clearly state which role you are applying for in your cover letter.

This is intended to be a stable, long-term position. We are seeking professional, structured, organised, and self-motivated individuals who are comfortable working within clear systems and boundaries. This is not a casual support or pet-sitting role.

ROLE 1 – Domestic & Practical Support PA (Approx. 10 hours per week)

This role focuses on maintaining a stable, organised home environment and supporting daily structure.

Responsibilities include:

- General cleaning and upkeep (hoovering, mopping, wiping surfaces, maintaining order)
- Changing bedding and light physical tasks
- Kitchen organisation and appliance maintenance
- Preparing simple meals and batch snacks (pasta, baked potatoes, sandwiches etc)
- Supporting structured medication preparation (non-clinical, e.g. preparing labelled morning, afternoon, and evening containers)
- Assisting with routine tasks that maintain stability and prevent overwhelm
- Light pet-related support (refreshing bowls, assisting with short walks, supporting structured training routines where appropriate)

Essential qualities:

- Reliable and consistent
- Comfortable following structured routines
- Physically capable of light to moderate domestic tasks
- Respectful of boundaries and professional conduct
- Calm and steady presence
- Able to work as part of a coordinated support team

ROLE 2 – Administrative PA (Approx. 6–10 hours per week)

This role requires a procedurally strong and digitally confident individual who can manage structured communication and formal processes.

Responsibilities include:

- Confident with computer systems
- Managing structured written communication with landlords and housing providers
- Drafting formal, professional correspondence
- Logging and tracking complaints, acknowledgements, response deadlines, and escalation stages
- Preparing structured escalations to appropriate regulatory bodies where required
- Supporting safeguarding referrals and maintaining clear documentation
- Opening and organising incoming post
- Printing and preparing paper copies of key documents
- Taking clear written notes during meetings or calls when required
- Maintaining organised digital and physical filing systems
- Assisting with structured applications and official forms

Essential qualities:

- Strong written communication skills
- Confident computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, shared calendars, digital filing)
- Comfortable managing both digital and paper-based systems
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Calm, methodical, and professional
- Able to follow structured procedures precisely

Role Context

This position involves supporting a vulnerable disabled adult with multiple disabilities, primarily physical, with some mental health support needs. Professional conduct, discretion, and reliability are essential.
