Personal Assistant / Buddy Needed – Brighton – £14 per hour

We’re looking for a male PA for my husband.
This isn’t your typical PA job, it’s more of a buddy or social guide role. My husband was diagnosed with autism and ADHD a few years ago and would really benefit from a bit of extra support building social confidence, trying out new activities, and feeling more connected in the local community.

He’s in his 40s but young at heart, with a real passion for music (especially metal, rock, goth, and anything eclectic), Greek mythology, paganism, and alternative culture. He moved from Nottingham to Brighton to build a new life with his wife and start a family, but has found it tricky to make new friends and get involved locally.

The role involves:
• Hanging out socially, grabbing a coffee, going to gigs, checking out local events, or exploring new hobbies
• Encouraging him to feel more confident in social situations
• Helping him find community groups, new interests, and work opportunities
• Being a positive, understanding presence who can gently push him to step outside his comfort zone

About you (or your partner!):
• Friendly, reliable, and patient
• Open-minded and comfortable with alternative lifestyles and interests
• A good communicator and listener
• Ideally into (or at least curious about) alternative culture, though this isn’t essential

The hours are flexible, it’s £14 per hour, and it’s a great chance to make a real difference in someone’s life.
