Recovering stroke patient care visits Hove
Music professional (aged 65) has been progressing with stroke rehabilitation since last May. He's wheelchair bound, but improving his balance and his walking with help from the community therapy team. He needs assistance three or four times a day with personal care and mobility needs.
He has little sensation on his right side so needs help with transfer, toileting and washing, preparing and serving meals, or putting things in easy reach as he cannot yet access the kitchen. His partner is around a lot but has to be in London some days, including some nights away.
There is no ground floor toilet, so he uses urine bottles and a commode, but he is able to transfer independently. We're happy to fit around your times if a few weekly sessions would work for you - let us know. We do have a small team already but looking to have more people in it. If you can help him with some of the simpler exercises, that would be great too.
