Support for elderly man with Alzheimers

Hello,
Our father (Jim) is 94 years old and living independently in Brighton. We are looking for a kind person to help us with his care. He has dementia, which mostly affects his word recall and memory - so we need someone who can cope with hearing the same story multiple times.
One of us (his daughter) lives some distance to Brighton and the other (his son) has a young family which doesn't leave much time for checking on dad. Although we visit as often as we can, we need someone to provide additional day to day care for him, to offer companionship and generally check he's ok. We are looking for someone to come in daily Mon-Fri for an hour somewhere between 3-5.30pm.
Specific duties include:
• ensure he takes his medication daily,
• ensure he has something to eat
• help with washing up dishes and putting things away
• keep an eye on food levels and let us know when we need to put in an order
• take him out for short trips (e.g. to the park) when the weather is good
• to be prepared to clear up on the rare occasions he has an accident and doesn’t realise (this has happened twice in the last two years to give some indication).

We anticipate that there will be more hours available as dad's condition deteriorates over time.
Many thanks
Vicky and Ben
