URGENT Ad hoc cover for Xmas period – 7 Dials

Hello. I recently had a severe flare of chronic health condition, which means I can’t manage a day solo. Two of my four person PA team are away over the Christmas period, and I’m looking for folks who can be on standby for ad hoc support from Dec 22nd to Jan 2nd including the Christmas Day shift, because if those two should get flu I’d be in real trouble!

PAs on standby would be in a WhatsApp group, and I would message there or my PAs would, if cover was needed at short notice.

Normal Monday to Saturday shifts are three hours, Sunday shifts are two hours.
Rates of pay flat rate weekday or weekend:
Normal hourly rate £12.21 employed £14.16 self-employed
Boxing Day and New Year’s Day: time and a half

Christmas Day is a 90 minute shift at a flat rate £48.84 employed or £56.64 self-employed. Effectively you work 90 minutes but get paid for four hours. Which is the most I can wrestle out of my budget! We can discuss me contributing to your travel costs on that day if you are not within easy walking/cycling distance. And we can also discuss me contributing to your petrol costs if you drive.

In a shift, you will mostly be doing some simple batch cooking, and setting up trays in different rooms of my home so that I can manage on my own for the rest of the day.

NB I am immune compromised and shielding from Covid, which means you must wear a face mask in the flat, and I will provide Covid tests for you to use before a shift.

Would be great to have a 5 minute WhatsApp video chat to just meet you. You could also ask my PA any questions at that time. You’ll need to do an induction/trial shift but we will try and only do that if you’re going to be needed.. This will be one hour shadowing one of my regular PAs. I can’t pay you for your time, but I can cover your travel costs for this. Please note that one of my PAs is in the late stages of pregnancy and so there’s a highly likelihood that we will need emergency cover into the New Year / January / February as well. So I hope that I will be able to offer some work at some point. :-)
