Day time, part time home visits Hove

90 year old gentleman with some memory loss following a hit and run accident, who loves talking about his past - musical instrument maker, computer programmer, his life during the second world war, his teaching career and his wife, who is in a local care home.

Mr MJE needs someone to be with him, help with house work and shopping. He is independent for his personal care, but he needs reminders - finding where he put down his walking stick or knowing where he left his toothbrush ! You would join a warm and friendly team of four part time carers covering 24 / 7 support, including his son Howard who provides live in care 3 days a week.

Shifts 1-4pm week days or Thursday - Friday 9 - 5pm by negotiation. Plus some additional, occasional additional shifts including whole days 9 - 5pm , sleeping overnight shifts 9pm - 9am and occasional weekend shifts by agreement. Martin goes on holiday around 4 weeks a year. A carer who is flexible and open to travel to other parts of the UK and France is desirable but not essential.
