Dominic

I am looking after my stepfather who is 82 and has recently had a Parkinsons diagnosis. He is a retired journalist and teacher who remains bright and communicative. His mobility is fairly good but has become an issue when living with my mother as she is also in her 80's. I am setting him up in a sheltered accommodation flat in central Brighton at the end of my road where I live with my wife. We are looking to get him a PA for January once he has moved into the flat to help with showering, taking his medication as well as light duty's like cooking and cleaning. We would imagine that it may well need two people sharing the shifts or one if you are happy to commit and are nearby. There will also be family support around to help. Ideally his PA would be there to help get him into bed in the evening at least some of the time.
