PA for 25 year old female with mental health difficulties and autism

My daughter (R) is an outdoor loving young woman looking for a PA to go out and about with. She needs support to get out into the community, maybe to the beach or to a café for a drink. She likes to go for a drive and prefers not to go on public transport, so her PA would need to have their own car and relevant fuel expenses would be paid for.

My daughter lives with me and her 20 year old sister and we care for her. She finds it hard to make eye contact and to be in social situations. She often listens to music on her headphones, which helps her feel calm. She has spent a lot of time in psychiatric units since she was 14. In June this year she was discharged from psychiatric hospital after 2.5 years in different units. She needs help adjusting to life outside hospital and learning / developing life skills.

A PA can help her by supporting her to get out and about and to remember to eat and drink and keep herself well. Having a PA will allow me, and my other daughter, to do our work / study, knowing that R is being looked after. A PA will need to communicate with me regularly, to keep up to date with my R's needs. They will not speak with professionals on her behalf unless expressly asked to do so.

At the moment R is still adjusting to life at home rather than in a psychiatric unit. She is supported by the Community Rehab Team, a consultant psychiatrist and nurses / support workers. She may like to do a weekly yoga class or something similar, and a PA could accompany her to this. Sometimes she will need someone to take her to appointments.

R loves art, music, her family and our 2 dogs and cats.
