PA needed for SEN teenager

Personal Assistant (PA) Required for a Young Person with SEN

We are looking for a reliable, patient and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a 17-year-old young man with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We would be happy to share hours between a number of PAs.

The ideal candidate will enjoy engaging in meaningful activities and conversations around his interests, which include history, politics and geography. You will support him with learning, community-based activities, developing independence, and accessing opportunities that reflect his interests.

Hours:
Monday to Friday, term time only
9:30am - 3:30pm

The successful candidate will:
Be patient, caring and supportive
Have experience working with young people, ideally with SEN
Be able to encourage independence and confidence
Have good communication skills
Be reliable and flexible
Experience in education, support work, youth work or care would be advantageous but is not essential for the right person.

Location: two different homes (one in central Brighton (Montpelier Road) and one in Hove). Very close to bus stops.
