PA Required For A Cheeky Energetic 6 Year Old Boy

We are a family looking for a kind, reliable, and energetic PA to support our cheeky, active and energetic 6 year old Autistic son. Our son is non-verbal and communicates using PECS, mostly by pointing and leading you by the hand to what he wants.

He is very active, and full of energy and loves the outdoors. He loves the water (water play and swimming are one of his favourite things to do). He loves climbing and jumping, so loves any activity that involves these. He loves going to the parks and loves train and bus rides. He does not have any awareness of risks and danger so we need someone who is very vigilant to keep him safe at all times as he may run off towards things that interest him such as dogs, buses, bikes, scooters etc.

He can find busy and loud environments overwhelming, although he can be loud himself. He sometimes uses his ear defenders when needed. Screens and smartphones should not be used around him as he can become very focused/fixated on them in an unhealthy way.

The right person would need to engage him in a fun, safe, and appropriate activities in the local area and at home. We are seeking for someone who is patient, kind, understanding, energetic with a genuine interest in supporting children with SEND needs. Experience in supporting SEND children would be beneficial for this role but not essential, as long as you are willing to learn, be proactive, ensure safety at all times, and understand the importance of consistency and routine.
