Self Employed (NO PAYE) £17 – 5.5 Hours
I’m looking for a reliable and friendly female or femme-presenting PA to support me at home and with day-to-day life. I’m queer & neurodivergent and often in PJs at home.
I am looking for support on Monday and Friday. The hours would likely be divided into 3 hours one day and 2.5 hours the other. One of the days could also be Wednesday for the right candidate.
What is required from this role is someone who has flexibility to support a range of tasks depending on what is needed on the day. Tasks may include:
• Cleaning, laundry, changing bed, food preparation, shopping, errands outside the home, helping with deadlines, proofreading correspondence, online administration, helping organise information as part of complex healthcare navigation, and companionship.
I’m currently recovering from a significant post-viral health setback, so my physical energy is very limited.
I need someone who can get on with things independently without requiring a lot of supervision. I manage my own medical care, benefits and decision-making, but when my energy is limited, it’s incredibly helpful to have someone who can take things off my plate.
Clear communication is also essential. I’m looking for someone who is responsive to work-related texts. Messages will always be within reasonable hours, with no expectation of being available late at night or throughout the weekend.
The PA must also be able to create and submit their own invoices in accordance with Possability People’s procedures.
Important things to note
• This role is not be suitable for someone who follows a vegetarian or vegan diet, as I follow a medical ketogenic diet and preparing and cooking meat is a regular and important part of the role.
• The role can involve heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks so a reasonable level of physical fitness is essential.
• A driver with access to a car is preferred, but not essential
• Being Self Employed and registered with HMRC is essential
There may also be opportunities over the coming months for additional paid hours accompanying me on longer-distance journeys outside Brighton for medical appointments or treatments. These would be offered as separate pieces of work, so applicants don’t need to be available for travel to take the regular role.
