Advert Updated 4th April 2024
Support for young family, including wheelchair user and neurodiversity :

Pay rate: £13.00ph
Hours available: 10-18hrs

We are looking for one or two self-employed PAs to join our close-knit team to support us at home and to help get us out of the house. We've recently had two awesome PAs join and we're looking to distribute the responsibilities between one or two more people. I have cerebral palsy, chronic dizziness and use a wheelchair, and my husband and daughter are autistic and have attention deficit and hyperactivity.
We are a young family hoping for support to make everyday less of a challenge and more of the vibrant family life we love to live. We'd love to meet a likeminded person able to support us by keeping our home clean, tidy and organised, cooking vegetarian meals, assisting me physically with my mobility and personal care needs, and my husband and daughter (6) with their autistic and ADHD needs.

We are a Buddhist family who enjoy getting creative, listening and playing music and having a dance! We have an interest in learning languages, especially French, German and Spanish.

It would be preferred if you can drive and have a medium to large car but we're really open to meeting the right person so it's OK if you don’t.

Non smokers please.

You will need a DBS and a reference.

We have an indoor cat, and our daughter's special interest is in cats so enthusiasm about cats is necessary.

A strong sense of organisational skills in terms of helping to keep our living space tidy and accessible is important for this role, as well as good time-keeping and effective communication. Having a can-do attitude and an upbeat personality is also essential to meet our family's various needs. We like to try get out and about regularly, preferably daily, and need support to do this. Our daughters autistic needs means she has an exceptionally high need to move and we don’t have a garden so we take daily trips to the park and sometimes to town which we need support for.
This role requires you to work some early starts, weekends and evenings, and possibly some overnights but these responsibilities are shared amongst our small PA team. We need reliability and flexibility ourselves but we can also offer it to our PA team at times they need it.

In our team we have a great mix of wonderful characters who we really care about. Some are parents themselves, some are students, mature students, musicians, artists - all sorts!

Please get in touch, looking forward to hearing from you!
