Swimming support for Para Swimming Club!

Im looking for a fit, fun and enthusiastic Personal Assistant who is a confident swimmer to accompany and support me during weekly/possibly fortnightly para swimming sessions at The Triangle, Burgess Hill

📅 When: Wednesdays (possibly just one a fortnight with a view to going weekly after a while)
🕐 PA hours: 3:30pm–8:30pm — allowing 2.5 hours before and up to 2 hours after the activity
📍 Location: Whitehawk, Brighton travelling to Burgess Hill & back

About me: i'm a 43 year-old woman who is paralysed from the chest down, but fiercely independent!

What You’ll Do:
Meet me at my flat and travel from Brighton to burgess hill by taxi. I may need assistance getting my swimming costume on underneath my clothing before we go & once there, I'll need assistance with changing, getting into the pool & swimming.
1:1 support can be provided by the club where needed but it's important that I have my own PA in the pool with me.

The club gives support for prep and participation in the annual para-swimming gala, which offers opportunities to compete in regional, national, and international events which i would love to be able to achieve!

I'm looking for someone who is:
Registered as self employed with a UTR number
Can make a minimum 6-month commitment
A confident swimmer
Experienced in supporting individuals with disabilities.
Reliable and committed to attending weekly sessions.
Enthusiastic about inclusive sports
Able to provide physical assistance (e.g., helping with mobility or swimming aids) if required.

PA/carers insurance would be needed for this role but if you can commit to a full year , then I would be happy to pay for it myself.
